Tell the Stories

It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me. (Daniel 4:2 NIV84)

Telling the stories of what God has done for you should be a complete pleasure – and to be honest, it is all that witnessing to the unsaved is; it is telling your story.

A witness stands in the Dock, simply and truthfully reporting what he or she has seen.

And that is how we should be among our unsaved friends and work colleagues. Tell them how Jesus healed you, saved you, took away all guilt, helped you financially. Tell them how He carries your burdens, tell them about His amazing presence. Make it personal, keep it real.

Tell your friends at church too – because the bible says together we will overcome life’s difficulties “by the blood of the Lamb Jesus, and by the word of our testimony” (Rev 12:11). Tell all your stories to your friendship group, youth group, home group – ask your Pastor to share on Sunday if appropriate and you have something specific and recent. The fact that God has done something wonderful for you, inspires others to reach out for the same miracle in their own lives. It creates hope and faith.
