Shining Like Stars
โThen Yahweh brought him outside his tent and said, โGaze into the night sky. Go ahead and try to count the stars.โ He continued, โYour seed will be as numerous as the stars!โโ
Genesis 15:5 TPT
On that starlit night, Abraham was given a promise that stretched beyond his imagination. God wasnโt only speaking of natural descendantsโHe was pointing to the greater Seed, Jesus Christ. Paul tells us in Galatians that this promise finds its fulfillment in the One Seed, Christ, who would come to redeem the world.
Jesus Himself said in John 12 that unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it multiplies and bears much fruit. In His death and resurrection, Jesusโthe Seedโwas multiplied into countless sons and daughters of God. Through the cross, you and I were born again, not as distant followers but as part of His very body, branches connected to the Vine.
Now Philippians 2 declares that we โshine like stars in the universe.โ Think of itโAbraham once looked up at the heavens, and in those countless stars God was showing him a glimpse of you. You are one of those radiant lights, clothed in Christ, forgiven, justified, and filled with the Spirit.
What a salvation! What a story! From Abrahamโs tent to Calvaryโs cross to your life today, God has been weaving this incredible promise: that through Jesus, light would cover the earth. You are not ordinaryโyou are a light-bearer, a city on a hill, one of the shining reflections of Christโs glory in a dark world.
So step into your identity today. Shine brightly. Live boldly. For you are one of the stars Abraham once counted.

I declare that I know who I am in Christ. I am a child of Godโchosen, loved, and set apart for His glory (1 Peter 2:9). I will not hide my light or shrink back in fear, for I was created to shine. โThen you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of lifeโ (Philippians 2:15โ16).
My identity is not found in what I do or what others thinkโit is found in who God says I am. I am light in the Lord, and I will walk as a child of light (Ephesians 5:8). Even in a dark world, I carry the radiance of Christ. His presence within me is the flame that cannot be extinguished. Today, I rise and shine, for my light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon me (Isaiah 60:1).
