I Went In Response
โI went in response to a revelation…โ Galatians 2:2
What has God said to you lately? When is the last time you heard His voice? Do you sense a flow of the wisdom of heaven in your world today?
Paul says, โHe went in response to a revelation…โ Everything in our lives begins in the mind of God, and flows to us through the multi-media of heavenโs communication. A thought, a feeling, a hunch, a Bible verse, seemingly coming to life and jumping off the page can often be God speaking.
Whenever this happens, I write it down. The verse, the feeling, the nudge, even the exact words, on the occasions it comes with such clarity. I do this because I know when God speaks, He has some blessing, some good thing in mind, for me or someone I love. A miracle is ready to unfold!
I remember walking into a car showroom, looking for a new car for my travelling ministry. The only problem was that I had no money. To my surprise, I saw a new car and God said, โbook it!โ
โI have no moneyโ I complained to God – but there was no doubting that it was the same still small voice that tells me to do easier things – so I had to conclude I should book it!
Within days of me actually needing to pay for the car, I received a cheque for thousands of pounds, which covered the costs. Miracles are simply the result of acting in obedience to what you hear.
Another time a friend of mine was praying for someone with Fibromyalgia. She felt that God said โLift your walking stick over your head.โ In pain, the suffering friend did, and she was completely healed, even handing back a no longer needed disability badge for her car!
Still another friend felt God say to put lemon juice on her own arthritic joints. After years of pain my friend awoke the next morning completely healed!
Now, booking brand new cars you canโt afford, lifting sticks over your head and putting lemon juice on arthritic joints is not the normal way to go about life! But youโre not normal! Godโs voice wants to lead you into miracles! When God speaks, waving a staff over the sea can part it (Exodus 14:16), shouting at walls will make them fall (Joshua 6:5) and washing in a river can heal you (2 Kings 5:10), IF and WHEN God says to do these things.
We must never make a repetitive culture out of what God says to do only once, because sticks donโt part seas and shouts donโt flatten castles like Jericho. The power is only in listening to the voice of God right here, right now. There are miracles in recognising those gold-embossed thoughts, that seem to come from some peaceful place, deep inside our hearts, where God whispers, โDo this, and Iโll do that.โ
If you want to start enjoying Heaven’s adventures for your life, then start listening. From there, start responding. When you do, life is going to get incredibly exciting!

I attune my ears to hear God’s voice, for it is written, โMy sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Meโ (John 10:27).
I declare that I am not only a hearer of the Word, but a doer (James 1:22). I cancel every lie of the enemy that says I canโt hear God. The Spirit of God lives in me, and โthe Spirit Himself bears witness with my spiritโ (Romans 8:16). I walk in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:25), and I surrender daily to His leading. I choose obedience over convenience, intimacy over independence, and surrender over striving.

Good to be reminded, obedience even when it sounds “unreasonable”- bless you
