Fix Your Eyes On The Prince of Peace

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3

Peace is a Choice

It’s so easy to lose our peace, especially when the world around us feels uncertain. One moment we can be perfectly calm, and the next a news notification, difficult conversation, financial concern or anxious thought can send our minds racing.

But here’s something I’ve been learning: peace is a choice we make daily.

There are countless apps promising tranquillity—beautiful landscapes, soothing music, calming voices and guided meditations. They may help us relax for a moment, but there is a deeper peace that cannot be downloaded, manufactured or programmed.

True peace comes from a Person…Jesus is our Prince of Peace.

Isaiah prophesied about Him,

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us… And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

What Are You Magnifying?

Isaiah gives us the key:

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You” (Isaiah 26:3).

Notice the connection: peace follows focus and trust.

What you continually focus on tends to grow in your awareness. If you constantly feed on negativity, fear, outrage and bad news, anxiety can become magnified. But when you deliberately turn your attention towards Jesus, something begins to shift.

You don’t deny the storm.
You simply decide that the storm isn’t bigger than your Saviour.

Paul gives us an incredible invitation:

“Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life” (Philippians 4:6 TPT).

And then comes the promise:

“Then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ” (Philippians 4:7 TPT).

Did you notice that? Tell Him every detail.

Not just the spiritual things. Not just the things you think are important enough. Everything.

Let His Presence Fill You

Paul calls Him “the Lord of peace” and prays,

“May the Lord himself… pour into you his peace in every circumstance and in every possible way” (2 Thessalonians 3:16 TPT).

Every circumstance.
Not just the good ones.

So today, choose where you will fix your attention.

Turn down the volume of fear and turn up the volume of faith. Open your Bible. Worship Jesus. Pray in the Spirit. Give Him your worries. Magnify Him until your problems come back into perspective.

The answer isn’t always that your circumstances immediately change.
Sometimes He changes you in the middle of them.

And suddenly, there is peace. Not because everything makes sense, but because you know the One who holds everything in His hands. Today, fix your eyes on Jesus.

He is your Prince of Peace.

Believe & Confess Meditation & Declaration

I choose to keep my mind steadfast on the Lord because I trust Him, and He keeps me in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). I refuse to be ruled by anxiety; instead, I bring every concern to God with prayer, faith and thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guards my heart and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). I receive the tangible presence and peace of the Lord in every circumstance of my life (2 Thessalonians 3:16). I fix my eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith, and I refuse to be distracted by the storms around me (Hebrews 12:2). Because Jesus is my Prince of Peace, I will not allow fear to have the final word in my life (Isaiah 9:6; John 14:27).
