In 2019, five months before the first Covid lockdown of March 2020, God spoke to me through several dreams about a Great Pause that was about the fall on the earth. (I wrote about these in my 2020 book The Divine Reset*).

Several months later, in January 2020, a prophetic friend confirmed these dreams at a leaders gathering where she prophesied:

“We are about to enter a new era, but first there will be a pause”.

Two months later the world was in a great pause, due to Covid lockdowns.

A Pit-Stop Pause

As we entered the first lockdown in March 2020, I had a vision of a vehicle coming into a pit-stop, removing an old, wrecked and ragged wheel, and replacing it with a brand-new formula-1 racing tyre.

“This is a pause that will lead to acceleration” I wrote in my journal at the time.

The 3 Years Are Over…

As 2020 lockdowns gripped the nation that spring, I was hoping it would all be over by the autumn. I’d had enough of long walks, boring days, Joe Wicks exercise videos and online church services – anyone else?!

But several of my more prophetic friends confirmed, quite separately, that it was going to take longer:

“This is going to be a 3-year season.”

I hated that word with a vengeance. I was already tired by the middle of 2020 – and now it was going to last until 2023?! Urgh!

Well, here we are – it’s 2023. In fact, we are days away from March 2023, exactly 3 years since the first UK lockdown and the great global pause.

I believe that means the pause is coming to an end. The ending of the old era is ending! Ha! We are shifting towards God’s new thing with increased acceleration and accuracy.

So, are you ready to run in the purposes of God?!
