Are You Still Waiting For God Or Is He Waiting For You?
When Joshua crossed the river Jordan with the Ark of the Covenant into the promised land, there would have been a slight pause before the Israelites saw God miraculously dry up the river allowing them to cross over on dry ground.
You see, when the priests obeyed God and stood their feet in the water, the water flow stopped upstream, 15-20 miles away, which means it would have taken several hours for them to see this miracle take place.
You can imagine the doubts entering the minds of the Israelites and perhaps the priests.
โDid God really say?…
Perhaps we got it wrong?…
Nothings happening.โ
Joshua held his nerve, He didnโt doubt but believed, He knew what God had said and He was working behind the scenes.
Today I want us to meditate on this scripture… Psalm 37:3-5 TPT
“Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way youโll find he pulled it off perfectly!”
If you are still waiting for your miracles, firstly I want to encourage you to keep trusting. God may well be working upstream and you just canโt see it yet…but your miracle is on its way.
Secondly, have you stepped out in obedience? It was only when the priests stepped into the River Jordan that God began to act. Obedience will release your miracle.
Finally, donโt look at your circumstances…fix your heart on the promises of God and youโll find He will pull off your miracle perfectly.

I wait in faithโbelieving the God of miracles. What is impossible with man is possible with God (Luke 18:27). I may not see it yet, but I know that God is working behind the scenes on my behalf.
I trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). God’s timing is perfect. He makes everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). I will not rush His process, for my faith is not in the outcome, but in the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17).
I believe that my miracle is on the way, because God is faithful to every promise He has spoken (Numbers 23:19). I will stand on His Word, rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12).
