Ancient Humility For A New Era

If we are to be a Church filled with glory, we must carry an ancient humility. We must be ever aware of our tendencies to idolise, to crave recognition, to seek fulfilment in fame or empire. We must return to the narrow way of the Kingdomโless of us, more of Him.
History offers shining examples. George Fox, founder of the Quakers, once overheard people talking of installing him as their minister. His response? โIt is time for me to be gone; for if their eye is so much to me… they will not discover their own true Teacher.โ
Evan Roberts, the firebrand of the Welsh Revival, was so modest that he often refused to have his photo taken. He never announced where he would preach, lest he become the revivalโs โstar.โ Once, when asked if they believed Jesus was present in the meeting, the crowd cried โAmen!โ Roberts replied, โThen you donโt need me,โ and walked out. The meeting erupted with prayer and praise as people encountered Jesus directly.
This new era calls for leaders who are selfless, obscure if need be, surrendered to the rhythms of heaven and committed to raising the Bodyโnot themselves.
We are about to see One Church rising. A global murmuration. A divine migration. A radiant, many-membered Body carrying the Shekinah glory of God into every corner of life. And at its centreโno man or movementโjust Jesus, exalted, glorified, and revealed as King.
God, help us to humble ourselves under Your mighty hand, that You might be exalted in us. May it be on earth, as it is in heaven, wherever we go.

Today, I choose the way of the cross, the posture of surrender, and the joy of serving others. My life will reflect the humility of Jesus, so that His gloryโnot mineโshines through me.
I will walk humbly before the Lord, recognizing that every gift, every breath, and every victory comes from Him. I will not exalt myself, for โGod opposes the proud but gives grace to the humbleโ (James 4:6). I choose to humble myself under His mighty hand, trusting that in due time, He will lift me up (1 Peter 5:6).
