#Winning!

Sometime ago, whenever I asked my son if he had any homework, he would often come back to me after checking online and respond with, “Hashtag winning!”

When I asked him why he said this, he told me, “That’s what automatically pops up on my screen when I’ve done it all and I have no more homework left to hand in.”

I love it! It reminds me of a song called “Jesus is the Winner Man.” Do you know it?

One of the names of God is Jehovah Nissi – The Lord my Victory Banner.

It was given by Moses in Exodus 17 when God defeats the Amalekites. When Moses’ hands were raised the Israelites were winning, but when his hands became heavy, the Amelekites were winning. So Aaron and Hur the priests stood with Moses and raised his hands until the battle was won.

God is your Victory Banner. He has never been defeated, and He never will.

Whatever battle you are facing or going through right now. Know that God has already gone before you. The work has been done. The price has been paid.

There’s nothing left for you to do except stand in the posture of victory. With your hands raised like Moses knowing that you have already won.

Jesus defeated Satan on the cross, therefore, you are more than a conqueror. No weapon formed against you will prosper. He that is in you is far greater than he that’s in the world.

So thank Jesus right now. Raise your arms and if you haven’t the strength to raise them, call some godly people alongside you to help you, because my friend, you are victorious! You are #winning!

The Lord is my banner—my victory, my covering, and my strength. Just as Moses lifted his hands and the battle was won, I lift my eyes to Jehovah Nissi, the One who fights for me. (Exodus 17:15)

The Lord goes before me in every battle. He lifts me when I’m weary, strengthens me when I’m weak, and gives me the power to overcome. His banner over me is love (Song of Songs 2:4), and His victory is my inheritance.
