#Winning – Living From Victory
โThe Lord is my banner.โ โ Exodus 17:15
There was a season when I would ask my son if he had any homework left to do, and after checking online he would often grin and say, โHashtag winning!โ I asked him one day why he kept saying it, and he explained, โThatโs what comes up when Iโve completed everything. Thereโs nothing left to hand in.โ I loved that. Every time he said it, it stirred something deep in me. It reminded me of the victory song of Heaven over every believerโs life. In Christ, the work has already been completed. The debt has already been paid. The battle has already been won. We are living from victory, not striving for it.
Jehovah NissiโโThe Lord is my bannerโโis one of the great covenant names of God revealed in Scripture. Moses declared it after Israel defeated the Amalekites in Exodus 17. The fascinating thing is that Joshua fought in the valley while Moses stood on the hill with his hands raised before God. As long as Mosesโ hands were lifted, Israel prevailed. But when exhaustion caused his hands to fall, the enemy gained ground. So Aaron and Hur stood beside him and held up his arms until sunset, until victory came fully (Exodus 17:11-13).
What a picture of the Christian life.
There are moments when your strength feels weak and your faith feels weary. Battles can rage in your mind, your body, your family, or your finances. Yet Heavenโs message over your life remains unchanged: #Winning. Why? Because Jesus Christ has already triumphed over sin, death, hell, and Satan through the Cross and Resurrection. โHaving disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in itโ (Colossians 2:15).
You do not fight to earn victoryโyou fight from a position of victory. Jesus is your banner. He goes before you. He surrounds you. He strengthens you. And when your hands grow tired, God places Spirit-filled believers around you to lift your arms until breakthrough comes.
So lift your eyes today. Lift your hands again. Worship in the middle of the warfare. Praise in the middle of the pressure. The enemy may roar, but he is already defeated. The Cross settled it. The tomb proved it. And the Holy Spirit inside you confirms it daily.
You are not abandoned. You are not overcome. You are not losing.
In Christ, you are #Winning.
Believe & Confess Meditation & Declaration
I declare that the Lord is my banner and my victory in every battle I face (Exodus 17:15). I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me (Romans 8:37). No weapon formed against me shall prosper because God Himself defends and establishes me (Isaiah 54:17). Greater is He who lives in me than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Thanks be to God, who always leads me in triumph in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 2:14). I will stand firm, lift holy hands in faith, and see the salvation of the Lord manifested in my life (1 Timothy 2:8; Exodus 14:13).
