What I sense God is saying about the Coronavirus:

What I sense God is saying about the Coronavirus:

Today I began to pray about the Coronavirus pandemic and its effect upon my nation and the world, and as I prayed, I vividly saw God’s throne standing strong over a dark ocean of fearful global events. Immediately I was led to the verse:

“The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.” Psalm 29:10

The Passion Translation of the Bible states in its notes that this verse speaks of the fact that God “rules even over the dark flood of evil, to make it end” – reassuring us that there is no season where He is not able to bring evil to an end and for goodness and mercy to triumph.

In this time I sense the Lord would say “Even now I am reigning over the flood of sickness, fear and sorrow moving over the face of the earth, to bring it to an end. I Am the God who “changes times and seasons” (Daniel 2:21) and even every evil thing remains under my control. As you cry out to me and call to me, I will answer.

This evil will end sooner than many claim. Though some will grieve as they are touched by personal sorrow, to many others this will be remembered as a time where you ask “What was all that about?!” – a time where fear and panic attempted to take over the hearts of men.

But see, I Am enthroned above the flood, to bring the evil to an end. Worship me, pray, seek my hand. Do not engage in the currency of fear that fills screens and newspapers. Do not be shaken. I decree “This shall pass!” – the times are set by my own authority.”

Psalm 29 begins by assuring us of God’s reign over a troubled earth. It shows us the power of God’s voice to command, control, to speak and see events change. It ends by encouraging us that “The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.”

It is a time to keep from both anxiety and denial, and simply to walk in wisdom and care with our God who reigns. It is time to care for your neighbour, to pray for the frail, to soothe the anxious and for some, to comfort the grieving.

And it is a time to trust that God is indeed, “enthroned over the flood” to bring the evil to an end.

From Monday 23rd March I will be going live on YouTube 8pm (UK time) DAILY, with a time of encouragement, faith-building and inspiration, aimed to help you stay in faith and hope in this time, while some churches close meetings and many are in various forms of physical distancing or self-isolation.

Psalm 29

A psalm of David.

Ascribe to the Lord, you heavenly beings,
    ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
    worship the Lord in the splendor of his[a] holiness.

The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
    the God of glory thunders,
    the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
    the voice of the Lord is majestic.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
    the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon leap like a calf,
    Sirion[b] like a young wild ox.
The voice of the Lord strikes
    with flashes of lightning.
The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
    the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
The voice of the Lord twists the oaks[c]
    and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”

10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
    the Lord is enthroned as King forever.
11 The Lord gives strength to his people;
    the Lord blesses his people with peace.

    Hi Jarrod I thought you may be interested in a picture I believe is from the Lord.

    I saw the United Kingdom and there was a haze over it. I then saw some areas getting darker than others. I sensed this was where the coronavirus was having it’s darkest impact. To my surprise, in these areas that were dark, pockets of light appeared. Some of these lights started to shine quite brightly. I sensed the Lord say ‘these are my people that are called by my name’ ‘they are praying and seeking my face’ ‘they are starting to do what I have called them to do’ ‘to be my hands and feet, to be a voice of hope, to be a light in the darkness’ As I saw these lights starting to shine more brightly and appearing throughout the whole nation I saw the darkness was being scattered and the haze was lifting.
    I sense that the Lord is encouraging us. Though the enemy would seem to come in like a flood it is not a time to be afraid but to be strong in our faiths. Now is the time for God’s people to get on their knees and seek God’s face. Now is the time for us to be who we are called to be, followers of Christ, lights in the darkness, Christ in us the hope for the nation. Now is the time for the church to shine!

    Jared,
    I just wanted to say that at the same time you were getting this from the Lord I was praying similar here in North Wales. I was stood on the Little Orme and looked back and my town was covered by a rainbow and I felt God saying “I’ve got this covered. I am in control”
    I have been doing my best to hang on to this. And have been soooo encouraged by this that a friend of mine sent on to me
