Transformational Worship

Transformational Worship

โ€œYou are my hiding-place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.โ€
Psalm 32:7 (NIVUK)

There is something powerful about worship. Psalm 8 says it silences our enemies. Psalm 22 says God is enthroned on our praises. Worship is not a warm-up to a meetingโ€”it is a spiritual climate. It is a throne zone. When we lift our voices, we create an atmosphere where God rules, demons scatter, and our souls breathe again.

In one of the worst seasons of our lives, Vicky and I learned this truth in a fresh way. A prophetic friend contacted us during a time of upheavalโ€”church challenges, family battles, property issues. It truly felt like all hell was breaking loose. She said, โ€œItโ€™s like the land is trying to vomit you out!โ€ And thatโ€™s exactly how it felt. Vicious verbal and physical attacks, public slander, homelessnessโ€”pressure coming from every direction.

So we made a decision: if the enemy was going to roar, we would sing louder. We began a 24/7 worship broadcast in our home, filling every corner with songs of deliverance. It wasnโ€™t a clever idea; it was survival. And the results were astounding. As worship rose, God moved us, opened miraculous doors, vindicated our name, and upgraded our lives. Not because we fought harderโ€”but because we worshipped deeper.

Another time, I was ill and was struggling to function. A choir connected to our church was rehearsing next door to my administration office. As they worshipped, healing flowed. I sat at my desk and felt the presence of God wash over me. Songs of deliverance once again shifted the atmosphere and shifted my body. I was healed.

Today, you and I face real battlesโ€”some natural, some fierce counterattacks from the enemy meant to move us off course. But Psalm 32:7 gives us a choice: we can sink into the sapping world of symptoms, hopelessness, depression, anxiety, loss and griefโ€ฆ or we can rise into the hiding place of heaven, where songs of deliverance surround us and the kingdom reigns.

Can we rise, like Paul and Silas, above our chains and captivity? Can we worship until our souls stand in freedom even if our circumstances havenโ€™t shifted yet? When we worship, prison walls shake. Chains fall. And those watching are transformed.

So rise above the noise of the enemy. Join us on our 24/7 worship broadcast below. Join your church in prayer meetings, worship gatherings, small groups. Worship God with a passion born of faith, not feelings. Change the atmosphere around your soul. Move from torment to pure love, joy, and peace.

Be surrounded with songs of deliverance today.
Youโ€™ll find God in such an atmosphere.

I declare that worship is my weapon and my response. When I lift my eyes and my voice to God, His presence fills the atmosphere and His power is released. โ€œGod is enthroned on the praises of His peopleโ€ (Psalm 22:3). I choose worship over worry and praise over pressure. Even in the battle, I will worship, knowing that God moves on behalf of those who trust Him. As Jehoshaphat worshipped, the Lord set ambushes against the enemy (2 Chronicles 20:21โ€“22).

I declare that worship shifts my focus from the size of my problem to the greatness of my God. Chains are broken, hearts are lifted, and victories are won as I praise Him (Acts 16:25โ€“26).
