The Seeds Of Transformation

The Seeds Of Transformation

โ€œThen God said, โ€˜Let the land burst forth with growth: plants that bear seeds of their own kind, and every variety of fruit tree, each with power to multiply from its own seed.โ€™ And so it happened.โ€ โ€” Genesis 1:11 (TPT)

In the beginning, God did the spectacular. โ€œLet there be lightโ€ (Genesis 1:3). Out of nothingโ€”light. No raw materials. No assistance. Just the voice of God splitting the darkness.

And yes, sometimes He still does that. Sudden turnarounds. Unexpected provision. Miracles that seem to come out of thin air. Signs and wonders that leave you stunned.

But it would be untrue to say God always creates something from nothing.

Once the raw ingredients of creation were in place, He often spoke to what already existed and commanded it to bring forth something new. In todayโ€™s verse, the land is commanded to burst forth with vegetation (Genesis 1:11). Later, the earth is instructed to bring forth living creatures (Genesis 1:24). Imagine thatโ€”at His word, the soil yields up strength, beauty, even beasts of the field!

God speaks to what isโ€”and transforms it.

That pattern runs all through Scripture. A boy offers five loaves and two fish, and Jesus feeds five thousand men, besides women and children (Matthew 14:17โ€“21). Fishermen with rough edges become world-changing apostles (Acts 4:13). Mud and saliva become the prophetic action for sight restored (John 9:6โ€“7).

He doesnโ€™t always drop finished products out of heaven. More often, He breathes on seeds.

And hereโ€™s the truth you need today: what youโ€™re holding may not look like muchโ€”but in the hands of God, itโ€™s a miracle in seed form.

What do you have? An idea? A longing? A half-formed dream? A passion that wonโ€™t go away? A skill youโ€™ve underestimated? A painful testimony youโ€™d rather forget?

Donโ€™t despise it. Offer it.

A little bit of music can become songs that heal hearts. A love of cooking can become hospitality that restores the lonely. A hobby can become a ministry. A tough season can become a message. The very thing you survived might become the thing that sets others free (2 Corinthians 1:4). An old career skill can be breathed on again to inspire generations.

Iโ€™ve watched small, local obedience turn into global impact. Little books written for one congregation touching nations. Projects birthed in apparent failure suddenly carrying influence far beyond their beginnings. God delights in multiplication.

Why? Because seeds carry power within them. Genesis 1:11 says each tree had โ€œpower to multiply from its own seed.โ€ That means what God has placed in you already contains future fruit.

You are not random. You are not accidental. โ€œFor we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in themโ€ (Ephesians 2:10).

You are His work of art.

So today, donโ€™t wait for lightning from heaven. Take the loaves and fish in your hands again. Lay them before Him. Ask Him to speak over what you already carry.

Let Him command your ground to burst forth.

And then step forward in obedience. Seeds only multiply when theyโ€™re surrendered and sown.

Believe & Confess Meditation & Declaration

I am Godโ€™s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works prepared in advance for me (Ephesians 2:10); He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I ask or imagine according to His power at work within me (Ephesians 3:20); though my beginning seems small, my latter end will greatly increase (Job 8:7); I do not despise small beginnings because the Lord rejoices to see the work begin (Zechariah 4:10); as I give, it is given back to me, pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38); and the One who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
