The Kingdom Net Is Expanding

โ€œOnce again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.โ€ (Matthew 13:47)

Jesus compares the Kingdom to a net cast into the sea, gathering fish of every kind. The lake represents society in all its diversityโ€”the righteous and unrighteous, the noble and broken. The Kingdom net does not discriminate; it spreads wide, covering families, businesses, schools, hospitals, and communities. Godโ€™s desire is not just to save souls but to restore all things (Acts 3:21), bringing His influence into every sphere of life.

Notice Jesusโ€™ words: the separation of the righteous and the wicked comes only โ€œat the end of the ageโ€ and by the angels, not by us. Our task is not to judge or divide, but to embody Kingdom presence. We are called to influence with goodness, kindness, and wisdom, so that even those far from God experience His grace through our lives.

This means the Kingdom mission extends beyond church walls. It reaches into workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and homes. Wherever God has placed you is a landing zone for His Kingdom. You are anointed not only for Sunday services but for daily influenceโ€”subduing the world with love, serving others, and pointing people toward Godโ€™s goodness.

Leaders, too, are called to equip believers for this mission. The role of the pastor is not to gather people around themselves but to release them into society as carriers of the Kingdom. In this way, the net of Godโ€™s reign expands, saturating whole regions with His restoring presence.

Reflection: The Kingdom net is wide and active, and you are part of it. Your daily influence matters for Godโ€™s mission.
Recommendation:ย Reflect on how your work, home, or neighbourhood can become a Kingdom landing zone.
Next step:ย
Practice one intentional act of Kingdom kindness in your sphere today.

Today, I choose to live as a vessel of His presence, carrying heavenโ€™s culture into the earth, until the glory of the Lord fills the world as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). I declare that I am an ambassador of Christ, carrying His Kingdom wherever I go. โ€œYour kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heavenโ€ (Matthew 6:10).

I declare that the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, empowering me to bring good news to the poor, freedom to the oppressed, healing to the broken, and light to the darkness (Luke 4:18). I declare that the Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power (1 Corinthians 4:20). Through my life, words, and actions, His love, peace, and righteousness will be revealed.

STRONGER: includes a 40 day devotional

This book is all about where we find strength. Jarrod writes that โ€œGod provides us with strength builders along our pathโ€ โ€“ some we need to pick up and use, others will simply happen to us along the way, by a kind of divine providence. But knowing these seasons of muscle building are from heaven (โ€˜cos they usually look like theyโ€™re from hell at first!) is vital to recognising Godโ€™s plan for your resilience.

Now STRONGER comes with an additional 40 day devotional taking you on a journey building attitudes and beliefs that will release divine wisdom and strength in your life. Each day presents you with a scripture, an inspirational short piece to get you thinking, followed by a prayer, action point or declaration.
