The Hidden Power Of The Quiet Season

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” – 1 Peter 5:6 (NIV)

There are seasons when strength looks nothing like striving—and success looks nothing like spotlight. These are the quiet seasons. The hidden places. The valleys and deserts where God forms what He’ll one day reveal.

In these moments, you may be called to do things averagely, not perfectly—for the sake of your soul. You’ll need to tune out the noise of trends, critics, and comparison, and just do your thing—quietly, consistently, faithfully.

You may rest more than run. You might not produce much fruit—or be seen by many people. You might need to stay silent, not defend yourself, not react, not post. Misunderstood? Maybe. But that doesn’t mean you’re missing it.

God often works invisibly before He works visibly. He places restraints, asks for humility, and leads us to stillness—not as punishment, but preparation.

Can you find joy in these seasons? Can you trust the process when no one else claps for it?

Because here’s the truth: if you can survive the valley, you’ll stand on the mountain. If you can tame your ego in obscurity, God will trust you with influence. If you can quiet your voice, He’ll raise it when the time is right.

This is the road less traveled. The message less preached. But it is the Jesus Way.

He walked it first—humbly, quietly, obediently—and in time, the world was changed.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to embrace the quiet seasons with grace and trust. Teach me to walk Your way, even when it feels hidden and low. Remind me that Your path to power always begins in humility. Amen.

Today, I choose humility. I let go of striving, self-promotion, and pride, and I rest in God’s perfect timing and power.

He sees me. He holds me. And in due time, He will lift me up. I will not rush ahead or shrink back—I will wait in faith and trust His process. Even when hidden or overlooked, I know God is working beneath the surface.
