The Gift Of Process

The Gift Of Process

โ€œThen Yahweh-God said, โ€˜It is not good for the man to be alone. Therefore, I will fashion a suitable partner to be his help and strength.โ€™ For Yahweh-God had formed from the soil every animal of the field and every bird of the air and brought them before the man to see what he would call them. So, whatever the man called the living creature, that was its name. He gave names to all the various cattle, birds, and wild animals, but Adam could not find a fitting companion that corresponded to him.โ€ย (Genesis 2:18โ€“20 TPT)

God knew Adam needed a partner. He knew the animals wouldnโ€™t meet that need. Yet He still brought them to Adam to be named. Why? Because God is not only about outcomesโ€”He is about process.

Adam had to discover for himself what God already knew. Naming the animals was more than a task; it was a journey of learning, observing, discerning, and realising his own need. And only after that process did God present Eve.

We sometimes wish life were more direct: hear Godโ€™s voice, skip the searching, avoid the wrong turns. But God rarely bypasses process. He lets us explore jobs, ministries, friendships, even failures, because growth happens there. Mistakes teach. Searching shapes us. Valleys deepen trust.

Maybe youโ€™re in a season of trial and errorโ€”doors closing, dreams shifting, relationships stretching. It doesnโ€™t mean God has forgotten you. It means Heโ€™s letting you process.

Rest in this: the outcome is already in His hands. He knows your Eve moment, your perfect timing, your destined fit. So walk the process without fear. Learn. Name things. Try. Fail. Grow. And trust that the One who began the good work will finish it beautifully.

I am confident of this very thing: the One who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). He is the Author and the Finisher of my faith (Hebrews 12:2), and His plans for me are to prosper me and not to harm me, to give me a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

I will not give in to fear, doubt, or discouragement, for my God is faithful. His work in me will not be left unfinished, for He makes all things beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
