Never Too Old For God’s Call
“So Abram obeyed Yahweh and left; and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran after his father died.”
Genesis 12:4 TPT
When God called Abram to leave everything familiar and step into a brand-new destiny, Abram was seventy-five years old. Most would say his best days were behind him. But God thought otherwise. Heaven doesn’t measure purpose by age—but by faith.
Caleb understood this. At eighty-five, he declared, “Give me this mountain!” He hadn’t let time shrink his faith. His spirit stayed youthful because he believed God’s promises more than his aches, his wrinkles, or the opinions of others. Some people at twenty-five have already grown old in their minds. They’ve lost courage, lost adventure, lost faith. Yet Scripture reminds us: “Your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:5). As long as your days are, so shall your strength be (Deuteronomy 33:25).
What you believe shapes your future. If you say, “I can’t,” you’ll prove yourself right. If you declare, “I can,” you’ll find grace to climb higher than ever before. Which report will you believe—the voice of limitation or the word of the Lord?
God says old men will dream dreams (Acts 2:17). That means heaven has fresh vision for every season of life. If you’re older, you’re not “finished”—you’re equipped with wisdom, experience, and faith that can shape legacies and take new territory. If you’re younger, don’t let your spirit grow prematurely weary—stay bold, adventurous, and full of faith.
God called Abram at seventy-five to launch a family line and receive a promise that would bless the nations. No matter your age, your story isn’t over. You’re never too old when God speaks. So rise, listen, and step into the new land He has for you.

I am never too old for God’s purpose. My age does not disqualify me—God’s calling on my life still stands! “Even to your old age and grey hairs I am He; I am He who will sustain you” (Isaiah 46:4).
I am not forgotten or finished. Like Caleb, I still have strength for the mountain God has promised me (Joshua 14:11–12). My latter days will be greater than my former, because the Lord renews my youth like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5).
Today, I stand in faith and declare: I am alive with purpose, filled with vision, and empowered by the Spirit of God to keep running my race until the very end. My age is not a limitation—it is a testimony of His faithfulness!

Encouraging Jarrod. We’re in our 50’s – I’m recently 60 and we live in a Muslim country which happens to be one of the poorest on earth. Challenging to say the least. Some days are pretty excruciating but here we are.. thanks x
