Your Day Of Boldness

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

Every destiny has its day of boldness. For Joshua, that day came with clear instructions from God: Be strong. Be courageous. Do not fear. Four times in Joshua 1, God repeated it, because boldness is essential when stepping into new territory.

God is still calling His people into new places today—into seasons of fulfillment, not just dreaming. Maybe it’s a bold move in ministry, missions, your career, or even relocating like my own family once did. We left everything behind—job, home, country—without surety, but with God’s voice in our hearts. It took boldness to step out so we could step in.

But boldness isn’t bravado. And it certainly isn’t boredom-driven or ego-fueled.

Before you leap, ask yourself: Is this faith or frustration? Obedience or comparison?

Here’s how to test your boldness:

1. Peace – God’s wisdom comes with peace (James 3:17). Not hype, not chaos. Peace.
2. Presence – What do you hear in worship, not just worry? God speaks in His presence.
3. Word – God will never contradict Scripture. Test every idea against the Bible.
4. Wise Counsel – Proverbs 15:22 tells us victory comes with the right advice. Seek mature voices, not just loud ones.
5. Timing – God’s plans are perfect—but so is His timing. Don’t rush ahead. Listen and wait.

Your day of boldness will come. So prepare: deepen your worship, anchor yourself in the Word, and build solid relationships. Because when that moment comes, you’ll want to be ready to step into everything God has for you—with courage.

Today, I declare that I am strong and courageous in the Lord.
I will not give in to fear or discouragement, for my God is with me wherever I go. His presence is my confidence, His Word is my foundation, and His Spirit is my strength.

I will step boldly into every assignment, knowing that the One who called me has already gone before me and fights for me. With Him, I am unshakable, unafraid, and unstoppable.
