The Lord’s Prayer: DELIVERANCE IN THE BATTLE

We are looking at the Lord’s Prayer. This is Jesus teaching us how to pray. (Matthew 6:9-13):

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
    as we also have forgiven our debtors.

 And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from the evil one’

Some times we forget what a REAL spiritual war we are in.

Conflicts, atmospheres, bad attitudes from others (or ourselves!), confusion, pains, depression, morose feelings, loss of passion – all these and more can be spiritual forces coming against us.

Ephesians 6:10 onwards says:

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.Therefore put on the full armor of God,so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

You are in a battle! Wake up and start praying daily for you, your family, your hopes and dreams “Deliver us from the evil one!” and God will!

At the end of Jesus’ temptation in the desert, where the devil was oppressing him and attacked Him, Jesus said “Away from me Satan!” and the Devil left. We need to say “Away from me conflicts, confusion, loss of passion” or other things coming against us that we feel to be spiritual attack.

A friend recently told me that she started to ask people to pray for her and her ministry regularly. As she did she said “It was like all the white noise lifted, and I found clarity”.

Sometimes life gets filled with the enemies “White Noise”. Conflicts. Irritations. Shame. Guilt. Accusation. Fear.

Raise your voice over the chatter in prayer. Ask for God’s deliverance, His Divine help – and praise Him, flooding your home and heart with His presence and power. And He will “deliver you from the evil one”.

I declare that I am delivered from every evil attack, for the Lord is my refuge and my fortress! He has rescued me from the kingdom of darkness and brought me into the Kingdom of His Son (Colossians 1:13). No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

I declare that the blood of Jesus covers me and protects me. I overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony (Revelation 12:11). The Lord delivers me from every evil scheme. The enemy may come against me one way, but he will flee in seven (Deuteronomy 28:7). The Lord is faithful, and He strengthens and protects me from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3).
