Crowned With Bounty
โYou crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.โ
โญโญPsalmsโฌ โญ65โฌ:โญ11โฌ โญNIVUKโฌโฌ
Here we goโinto another year with God! We may not know what will unfold in the next twelve months, but we do know this: โHe has no plans to harm us, only to give us a hope and a futureโ (Jeremiah 29:11 NIVUK). His mercies are new every single morning (Lamentations 3:22โ23 NIVUK). He is unfolding brand-new, exciting things in many lives. A wave of innovation, creativity, and Kingdom advance is exploding in the Churchโjust like the days of wonder many of us were prophesying about in the 1990s. God is up to something extraordinary. These are the days of divine surprise, holy innovation, and supernatural acceleration.
So, how do we position our hearts for a good yearโa crowned year, a bountiful year, an overflowing year?
Pressing Toward the Prize
Paul exhorts us to โpress on toward the goal to win the prizeโ (Philippians 3:14 NIVUK). Take a breath. Take a rest if you need it. But prepare to rise again with Jesus. Re-engage your focus. Reignite your energy. Serve the Lord with zealโโnever be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervourโ (Romans 12:11 NIVUK).
There is a prize. There is a reward. There is coming that sweet sense of โIt was worth itโ as families are saved, as prodigals return, as God moves in our nation, as breakthroughs burst through long delays. This could be the year of the long-awaited answer. This could be the season where hope deferred is healed and hope fulfilled begins to blossom. Get your hope back! Lift your eyes again! You are not disqualified. You are not forgotten. You are not stuck. God crowns the year with bountyโand that includes your year.
Shake Off the Past
To walk into a new year, sometimes you must shake off what clings to you from the old. Shake off the dust of failure, regret, trauma, disappointment, and delay. You cannot live in those momentsโyou can only live through them. Go through the valley of grief, by all means; but do not build a house there.
God is the One who turns โmourning into dancingโ (Psalm 30:11 NIVUK). He exchanges sackcloth for joy. โWeeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morningโ (Psalm 30:5 NIVUK). If grief has become your dwelling place, it is time to arise. If discouragement has dulled your wonder, it is time to breathe again. If you are wallowing, it is time to worship. Get your wonder back! Let the fire of fresh expectation burn again in your spirit.
Step Out of Preparation and Into Purpose
Many have walked through years of trial, wilderness, cleansing, and divine delay. But every wilderness has a reason. Every pruning has a purpose. Every refinement has a reward.
For many, this is the year to step out of preparation mode and into fulfilment mode. Shake off dullness. Shake off weariness. Shape new rhythms for a rested soul. Discover new purposes. Try new ideas. Laugh moreโabout life, about setbacks, about trying again. Let joy come rushing in. The wilderness was for a season; but wonder is for your future. Begin to walk boldly in the new.
A Year of Divine Provision
We are stepping into a season where God is not only giving visionโHe is releasing provision. Lands, people, ideas, resources, skills, opportunities, open doorsโthey are all part of His overflowing carts of abundance.
Some people say, โIf you keep doing the same thing, youโll get the same result.โ But that is not always true in the Kingdom. Sometimes the only issue is that you were expecting harvest in a planting season. But the seasons are changing. The divine clock has shifted. Things are moving. We are not in drought anymoreโthe rain of God is falling. Lift your eyes. Lift your faith. Lift your expectationโHe is moving!
I pray God would crown your year with bounty. That the years of sowing in the wilderness would now yield harvest in abundance. Bounty speaks of generous supplyโand this is a year of supply. A year where wells that once ran dry will run full. A year where the ground that resisted you begins to respond to your voice. A year where prayers once whispered now become testimonies shouted.
You are shifting from lack to plenty.
From loneliness to belonging.
From empty accounts to overflowing resource.
From little fruit to abundant harvest.
From little to much.
God crowns the year with His bountyโand His carts overflow with abundance.

Declarations for the New Year
I declare that God crowns my year with His bounty, and I will walk in His abundance. I press on toward the prize set before me, strengthened by grace and empowered by the Spirit. I shake off grief, regret, and discouragement, and I step boldly into joy, purpose, and new beginnings. I receive fresh rhythms, fresh strength, and fresh vision for the year ahead. I expect divine provision, open doors, and supernatural opportunities in every area of my life. And I step into this new year believing it will be a year of harvest, fulfilment, overflow, and the generous goodness of God.
